If something in Messy isn't working — a capture got mis-sorted, a link goes nowhere, the app crashed — we want to hear about it.
How to reach us
The fastest path is the in-app “This Didn't Work” button on any catalog item (tap the “...” menu on the detail view). It bundles the original capture, what Messy made of it, and your written explanation into a private report we read directly. The app shows exactly what gets sent before you confirm.
For everything else — bug reports, feature requests, account-style questions, or just to say hi — email support@messy.software.
Reply time: bug reports usually get a same-day acknowledgment; feature requests get logged but may not get a personal reply. Messy is a one-person project — thanks for your patience.
Quick fixes
- Captures aren't appearing. Force-quit and relaunch. The catalog reloads from your iCloud private database on launch.
- A title or category is wrong. Tap “This Didn't Work” on the item, or edit it directly via the overflow menu.
- The AI keeps misclassifying a specific kind of thing. Send a few “This Didn't Work” reports on it — that's the signal we use to tune the classifier.
- Reset everything. Settings → Reset Messy. Wipes your catalog and captures. Keeps your API keys (those are setup, not data).
